Senior Pastor

PastorWayne.jpgWayne Jenkins is Senior Pastor. He has spent much of his ministry in Northern Virginia at McLean Baptist Church, First Baptist Church of Alexandria and, since May of 2003, at South Run. Pastor Wayne's passions are life-changing relationships, young families in the DC area and just about any kind of adventure. He is married to Carolyn, the Minister of Education at Downtown Baptist Church in Old Town Alexandria. For fun he hangs out with Carolyn, bikes, swims and hikes. Both Carolyn and Wayne are natives of Georgia. Married for 41 years, they have two adult children and one grandson.

Secretary

me.jpgSusan Smith is the world's best, part-time Church Secretary, a title which does not do her justice. She helps the pastors and the church members in every way needed. She has been married to Russell for 26 years and they have three children: Shawn (20), Sarah (19) and Brett (14). Susan's passions are Starbucks, friends and bible study.

Mother's of Preschoolers

South Run will be starting a MOPS group on Tuesday January 3rd, 2012

MOPS is a program for mothers of preschoolers.  We will meet the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month from 9:30am-11:30am for fellowship, speakers, crafts, and support.  Child care will be provided.  If you would like more information about MOPS check out the website www.mops.org

Registration for MOPS will be held Tuesday, December 6th from 9:30am-11:30am at South Run Baptist Church. Cost of Registration is $50 not including the required MOPS International membership costing $23.95.
