Snow Sunday is No Sunday to Neglect God’s Word
- God interrupts our routines in order to offer us new ways of experiencing and serving Him. Let’s honor Him and His serendipity.
- Instead of trying to simulate normalcy at the South Run building this Sunday, let’s receive the gift of being His church in every neighborhood around.
- On Sunday, February 7, I encourage you to stay home and to gather your family, invite your neighbors, and call SRBC church members who live near you to join you in your house for Sunday School and worship following the plans at the bottom of this page.
- This is your Snow Sunday Home Alternative for Sunday School and Worship.
Here’s the Snow Sunday at Home Idea
- The LifeWay Sunday School Lesson topic is “Are You in the Right Mind?”
- The complete teaching outline including scripture references is attached
- Gather your family, neighbors and nearby SRBC members for Bible Study
- Choose the time on Sunday that works best for you and them
- Call Charlotte Rodriquez and tell her how many attend at your house: 703 455 8330 or email her at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
- The attached worship design provides everything you need to conduct worship in your home. This is exciting. Multiply everywhere. Scatter seeds
- Take up an offering during worship in your home. Put $ in a labeled (SRBC offering 2/7/10) envelope and bring it to the church office by Wednesday night. Encourage people to use their offering envelopes for accurate record keeping.
- Call or email me about God’s awesome work in your home Sunday.
God Bless You
As we model the practice of the New Testament church
On this extraordinary Sunday
I pray God’s blessing on your home—classroom and sanctuary
I pray God’s blessing on you—host and facilitator
I pray God’s blessing on your neighbors and family—participants and partakers
I pray God’s blessing on your faithfulness—that His Spirit break forth throughout this community as fruit because of this bold and brave Sunday.
Amen!
