Prayer Requests

Ephes. 6:18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.

The pastors and leaders of South Run are committed to prayer. We desire for every member of South Run to have a prayerful heart and a praying life-style. We see it as our responsibility to lead the way and to set the example of prayerfulness. A non-praying Christian leader has no authority by which to lead.

Prayerfulness is the prerequisite for all we do at South Run. It is the validation of ministry and vision. It is the channel by which God gives wisdom, direction, courage and power. Prayer is the way we know God today and relate to him personally. Through prayer He shapes us and renews us in Christ.

Prayerfulness moves us beyond requests for healing, blessing and protection to unity with God and transformation by His Spirit. In prayer, we take on the passions of God; we become burdened by that which breaks his heart. By prayer, He makes us His instruments. By prayer, we celebrate that which glorifies Him.

Prayerfulness makes us willing to sacrifice for the purpose of God. It changes selfishness into selflessness. Prayer is the tool God uses to convict us, to bring us fully before Him and to reform us into His image. Casual pray-ers gyp themselves of the power of God and they settle for a cheap grace that leaves them dissatisfied, doubting and longing for more.
God has much in store for all of us who will go the distance with Him in prayerfulness. Let’s go.
Matthew 21:13 " 'My house will be called a house of prayer.'"
